Neil is a solicitor in the Employment Law Group.

Neil is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and qualified as a solicitor in 2021. He holds a Diploma in Employment Law from the Law Society. He joined Daniel Spring & Co. in 2017.

Neil advises and represents clients, primarily executives, employees and trade unions, in contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, including unfair dismissals, discrimination, disciplinary and grievance processes, redundancy, industrial action, restrictive covenants and non-compete agreements, fixed-term and agency workers, working time, settlement agreements, health and safety, and the employment aspects of corporate transactions. He also has experience representing clients in a broad range of litigation including in relation to employment disputes, personal injury, professional indemnity and commercial litigation. He has represented clients in the Workplace Relations Commission, the Labour Court, the High Court and the Court of Appeal.

Recent matters on which Neil has advised include:

  • Acting on behalf of an employer on a contentious unfair dismissal claim that involved High Court and Court of Appeal proceedings.
  • Acting on behalf of partners in defending a breach of partnership agreement claims arising out of the founding of a new firm, involving High Court and Court of Appeal proceedings.
  • Acting on behalf of senior employees in relation to a statutory investigation, including on termination of employment and related proceedings in the High Court.
  • Advising and acting on behalf of an executive in regard to a protected disclosure and an external legal investigation into this.

Neil is a member of the Law Society of Ireland, the Employment Law Association of Ireland, and the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association.
