Laura is a solicitor in the Employment Law Group.
Laura is a graduate of University College Dublin and qualified as a solicitor in 2012. She initially trained and practised as a solicitor in the corporate department of a global commercial law firm based in London. She has also worked in the in-house legal department of a large London-based hedge fund and with one of the biggest global banks. She joined Daniel Spring & Co. in 2023.
Laura advises and represents clients, primarily executives, employees and trade unions, in contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, including unfair dismissals, discrimination, disciplinary and grievance processes, redundancy, industrial action, restrictive covenants and non-compete agreements, fixed-term and agency workers, working time, settlement agreements, health and safety, and the employment aspects of corporate transactions.
Recent matters on which Laura has advised include:
- Representing a senior public servant before the Workplace Relations Commission in an age discrimination claim.
- Advising on an exit package for a senior executive in the financial services sector.
- Advising clients in relation to unfair dismissal and redundancy.
Laura is a member of the Law Society of Ireland, the Employment Law Association of Ireland and is on the roll of Solicitors in England and Wales.
