Jennifer is a Partner in the Employment Law Group.
Jennifer is a graduate of University College Limerick and qualified as a solicitor in 2014. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Applied Employment Law from the King’s Inns. She has been working with Daniel Spring & Co. since 2012 and was appointed a Partner in 2019.
Jennifer has extensive experience in employment and litigation practice in both contentious and non-contentious matters. She provides strategic and solution-focussed advice to clients, including directors, executives, employees, consultants, employers and trade unions. Jennifer advises clients in a wide range of sectors including financial services, manufacturing, retail, technology, and healthcare. She has represented clients before the High Court, Commercial Court, Circuit Court, the Labour Court and the Workplace Relations Commission in employment litigation relating to issues such as unfair dismissal, equality and discrimination, occupational stress, fixed-term and part-time work, health and safety, restraint of trade, strikes and picketing. She represents clients in workplace investigations, grievances and disciplinary hearings and in mediation.
Jennifer also practices in the area of Regulatory Law and has represented doctors before the Medical Tribunal.
Recent matters on which Jennifer has advised include:
- Advising employees on protected disclosure/whistleblowing investigations.
- Proceedings before the Workplace Relations Commission and the Labour Court regarding a discriminatory dismissal on the grounds of gender and pregnancy.
- Acting for over 700 clients in High Court breach of contract proceedings for underpayment of salary spanning an eight-year period.
- Acting on behalf of a trade union in defending Commercial Court proceedings for damages regarding threatened strike action.
Jennifer is a member of the Law Society of Ireland, the Employment Law Association of Ireland, the Irish Women Lawyer’s Association and the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association.
