Geraldine Shanley is a graduate of University College Dublin and qualified as a Solicitor in 1982. Geraldine is one of the most experienced practitioners in the field of family and child law, having acted in many of the landmark family law cases in the Superior Courts.

Geraldine advises on all aspects of private Family Law including Divorce, Separation, Cohabitation claims, Custody and Access, and Maintenance litigation. Geraldine has particular experience in high-net asset cases and cases involving family-owned business interests.

Geraldine is a trained Collaborative Law Practitioner, is a founding member of the South Dublin Collaborative Lawyers Group and was previously Vice-Chairperson and a member of the Adoption Board/An Bord Uchtála, now known as the Adoption Authority of Ireland.

Geraldine has previously been awarded the Family Lawyer of the year at the Irish Law Awards.
