Evelyn is a Partner in the Employment Law Group.

Evelyn is a graduate of University College Dublin and qualified as a solicitor in 2016. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Applied Employment Law from the King’s Inns. She has been working with Daniel Spring & Co. since 2012 and was appointed a Partner in 2019.

Evelyn has extensive experience advising in employment situations across a wide range of industry sectors in both contentious and non-contentious matters. She advises and represents clients, including directors, executives, employees, consultants, employers and trade unions on all aspects of the employment and working relationship, including dismissals, discrimination claims, disciplinary and investigation processes, redundancy, contracts, policies and procedures, non-compete agreements, dispute resolution, protected disclosures, employee benefits and entitlements and industrial relations.

Evelyn is an experienced litigator. She has represented plaintiffs, defendants and notice parties in disputes and has represented parties in the High Court, Commercial Court, Circuit Court, Workplace Relations Commission, Labour Court and the European Court of Justice. She has a keen interest and extensive experience in private dispute resolution services include negotiation, mediation, conciliation and arbitration.

Evelyn also practises in the area of Partnership Law advising partners and partnerships on all aspects of the partnership relationship and agreements including duties and responsibilities, non-compete clauses, discrimination claims, dismissals and dispute resolution.

Recent matters on which Evelyn has advised include:

  • Protected disclosures involving internal investigations, external investigations, statutory investigations and High Court proceedings.
  • Acting on behalf of an executive in defending High Court proceedings where the employer sought to enforce non-compete restrictions.
  • Advising and negotiating on behalf of senior employees in relation to termination of employment.
  • Acting on behalf of partners in defending breach of Partnership Agreement claims arising out of a move to a competing firm.

Evelyn is a member of the Law Society of Ireland, the Employment Law Association of Ireland, the Irish Women Lawyers Association and the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association.
